Legislative Day 2025

Join our MAHA Florida Coalition for Health Freedom on March 26th for a Legislative Day at the Florida State Capitol! Let our voices be heard! Florida’s legislative session is underway, and now is the time to tell our Florida lawmakers that our MAHA bills must be a top priority.  We want to Make Florida Healthy Again!

CHD Florida has gathered health freedom organizations all across Florida to participate in this Big Legislative Day! The MAHA Florida Coalition for Health Freedom is working together to make the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative a top priority in this 2025 Florida Legislative Session. We are proud of the advocacy and grassroots lobbying efforts that have led to many bills now
filed in our Florida State Legislature, but our work is not yet finished;

Our lawmakers need to hear from ALL OF US!

Florida’s legislative session is only 60 days, and we are almost halfway through! Let’s show Tallahassee that Florida is MAHA strong and that we want our MAHA bills to move through committees and into law. Together, we can make a significant impact.

Don’t want to drive?
No problem!
We have buses departing from multiple cities across the state to pick up you and your fellow freedom-loving advocates.

  • West Palm Beach
  • Orlando
  • Gainesville
  • The Villages
  • Melbourne
  • Daytona Beach
  • Jacksonville
  • Sarasota
  • Tampa

It’s a full day of fun and grassroots lobbying. Let’s do this!

The Bills we are watching:

👍🏼 SB 196 & HB 525:  Foods Containing Vaccines or Vaccine Materials: Senator Gruters and Representatives Miller & Kendall: Revises the definition of the term “drug”; defining the term “vaccine or vaccine material”; deeming a drug misbranded if it is a food containing a vaccine or vaccine material, but its label does not include specified information, etc.

👍🏼 SB 340 and HB 6011 and HB 6035  Prohibit International Health Organization Policies: SB 340 by Senator Gruters, HB 6035 by Representative Nix & HB 6011 by Representatives Chamberlin; Miller: International Health Organization Policies; Prohibiting governmental entities and educational institutions from adopting, implementing, or enforcing international health organizations’ public health policies or guidelines without exception, etc.

👍🏼 SB 470 & HB 533: Reinstating and Regulating Naturopathic Medicine: By Senator Rodriguez & Rousen and Representative Smith: Naturopathic Medicine; creating the Board of Naturopathic Medicine within the Department of Health; providing for licensure by examination of naturopathic physicians; providing financial responsibility requirements as a condition of licensure for naturopathic physicians; providing that patients are responsible for advising treating health care practitioners about any legend drug, nutrient, or natural medicinal substance that a naturopathic physician has prescribed or recommended to the patient, etc.

👍🏼 SB 1288 & HB 1505 Parental Rights Amendment Bill in Medicine: requiring written parental consent of all minors for any medical (except emergency) intervention or “biofeedback” or survey. Senator Grall, Representative Kaley Tuck  & Rachel Plankton

👍🏼 SB 56 & HB 477: Weather Modification Bill by Senator Garcia and Representatives Steele and co-sponsored by Hinson and Kendall

👍🏼 SB 1362 & HB 149 (Cody’s Law) Claims for Adverse Reactions to Vaccine and Drugs under the Medicaid and Medically Needy Program: by Senators Garcia and Martin and Representatives Barnaby & Jacques: Claims for Adverse Reactions to Vaccine and Drugs under the Medicaid and Medically Needy Programs; Requires AHCA to expedite review & payment process for claims related to adverse reactions to vaccines, immunizing agents, & emergency countermeasure drugs under Medicaid & Florida Medicaid medically needy programs.

👍🏼 SB 1372 & HB 1399: Declarations of a Public Health Emergency by Senator Yarborourgh and Representative Miller: Declarations of a Public Health Emergency; Providing that the administration of vaccines is not included within the meaning of the terms “treat,” “treated,” or “treatment” as they relate to public health emergencies; revising provisions related to the expiration and renewal of declarations of a public health emergency; authorizing an individual to refuse examination, testing, or treatment under a State Health Officer’s order during a public health emergency by submitting a written refusal to the State Health Officer, etc.

👍🏼 SB 560 & HB 595: Chemical Additives in Food Products: By Senator Martin & Gruters and Represenatatives Cross and Weinberger: Prohibits food establishments from manufacturing, selling, or distributing food that contains specified chemical additives: (a) Brominated vegetable oil (b) Potassium bromate (c) Propylparaben (d) Red dye 3 (e) Blue dye 1 (f) Yellow dye 5 (g) Benzidine (h) Butylated hydroxyanisole (i) Butylated hydroxytoluene.

👍🏼 SB 764 & HB 641: Food Additives: By Senator Wright and Representatives Tendrich and Gonzalez Pittman(CO-SPONSORS) Campbell; Chamberlin; Cross; Rosenwald; Stark; Valdés; Woodso: Requires food & drink products intended for human consumption that contain synthetic dyes to have certain warning on products’ packaging; requires DACS to conduct certain inspections.

We have concerns about these bills:

🚫 SB 370 And HB 219 Reducing Parental Consent Of Health Screenings & Medical Procedures for K-12 Students by Senator Sharief and Representative Skidmore: Health Screenings for K-12 Students; Authorizing specified screenings and medical procedures to be performed on K-12 public school students after written parental notification of such services is provided and the student’s parents are given specified opportunities, etc. This bill is dangerous if a parent did not happen to see the notification. Schools should be required to obtain written (OPT-IN) consent for any medical screenings and procedures, and this bill does the OPPOSITE.

🚫 HB 129 & SB 992: Immunity for pesticide manufacturers: By Representative Grow and Senator Collins: Protects pesticide manufacturers for liability of harms by their products. Liability-free industries care little for health and safety. This puts humans, animals, and our Florida ecosystem in danger.
